The event brought together leaders from across the public and private sectors to explore the opportunities, challenges and priorities shaping the future of Wrexham and the wider North Wales region.

A key theme of the roundtable was the Investment Zone opportunity, which participants agreed could be a transformational driver for development, advanced manufacturing and innovation. With the right infrastructure and policy support, the region is well positioned to attract occupiers and businesses looking for space to grow, invest and innovate.
This potential represents a significant opportunity to strengthen Wrexham’s role as an economic hub within North Wales and beyond.
Collaboration as a Catalyst for Growth
The conversation reinforced the importance of strong partnerships between local authorities, industry and academic institutions. Cross-sector collaboration was widely recognised as essential to delivering the scale and pace of growth required, ensuring that development aligns with both economic ambition and community need. By working together, stakeholders can create a more resilient, connected and competitive regional economy.
Putting People at the Centre
Talent, skills and housing were central to the discussion. Participants agreed that sustainable growth must be underpinned by the creation of places where people can live, work and thrive. Investment in skills, access to quality employment and the delivery of appropriate housing will be critical to attracting and retaining talent in the long-term. This people-first approach was seen as fundamental to building a vibrant and inclusive future for Wrexham.
